The Girl With The Purple Cane
Hi, I’m Liz
I am The Girl with the Purple Cane.
I created The Disabled List to harness the intuitive creativity disabled people cultivate by navigating a world that isn’t built for our bodies.
I support brands who are interested in reaching disabled consumers.
I advocate alongside my peers to shift the disability narrative.
And I strive every day to build pathways into design for disabled people.

Black Disabled Lives Matter
Disability News Service
New Mobility covers active wheelchair lifestyle with articles on recreation, travel, people, health, relationships, media, culture, civil rights and resources. Eighty-five percent of our readers have disabilities, most caused by spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy.
We tell stories directly and honestly, without sentimentality. We aren’t interested in “courageous” or “inspiring” tales of “overcoming disability.”
Disability Visibility Project
The Disability Visibility Project is an online community dedicated to creating, sharing, and amplifying disability media and culture.
The DVP is also a community partnership with StoryCorps, a national oral history organization. Our aim is to create disabled media that is intersectional, multi-modal, and accessible.
Krip Hop Nation
Krip Hop is a project featuring people with disabilities inside and outside the music industry, locally and globally.
(can be too inspiration based or written by folks who aren’t disabled themselves, but does have some well written pieces)
